Summary: Ryo wants Bikky to accept.

"Ryo?" Bikky dropped his bag, looking around the silent room, biting his lip. No doubt Ryo was off on some police wild goose chase, or maybe even doing some actual work... or maybe he was with Dee. Bikky hadn't had much luck keeping Dee away from Ryo, recently. He was sort of afraid that Ryo was giving in to Dee, just from the sheer pressure.

He wasn't slow, but it hadn't yet crossed his mind that maybe Ryo did like Dee, but was confused and in denial. Had been confused and in denial.

Because right then, Ryo was curled up against Dee, in bed.

Bikky's voice woke him. He sat up and escaped Dee's grip, which proved to be rather harder than expected because, somewhat like an octopus, once he had grabbed you, it was hard to get out of Dee's hold because he seemed to have far too many arms. Still, he got out of bed and got dressed, heading quietly out of the bedroom and almost bumping straight into Bikky, who had his ear suspiciously against the door.

He shut the door quickly before Bikky saw Dee there. It would be far easier if he spoke to Bikky first, rather than let him see what had happened first and explain later (much later, when he and Dee were done fighting).

"Bikky, I need to talk to you," he said, quietly, and Bikky looked up at him.

"If it's about that thing at the corner shop, I swear I didn't do a thing, it was someone else's idea -- "

"What thing at the corner shop?" Ryo asked, expression hardening a little.

"Uh..." Bikky smiled, carefully, rubbing the back of his head ruefully. "There was some trouble. I wasn't really involved, just happened to be in the vincinity..."

"I'll find out more about that later," Ryo said, with a thoughtful frown, and Bikky sighed to himself. Ryo was a great substitute parent, mostly when he wasn't poking his nose into all of Bikky's business. "But that's not what I needed to talk to you about. Have you got time?"

"...Sure. I'm not meeting Carol for a few hours."

Ryo had to smile a little at the lordly manner Bikky had just then, assuming that Ryo would accommodate his plans, but he didn't say anything about that, just ruffled Bikky's hair gently. "Okay. Come and sit down."

"This isn't some stupid 'the birds and the bees' talk, is it?" he asked, suspiciously.

He found himself laughing, shaking his head quickly. "No. It's sort of about relationships... but nothing to do with you. Not really, anyway."

Bikky was frowning very hard by now.

"Dee and I -- "

"Dee?! He's here?!"

"Does it matter? I was saying... I know you think that you're protecting me, you know, getting in between me and Dee all the time, but... that's not necessary any more." Ryo took a deep breath. He might have believed he'd accepted and even embraced the fact that he wasn't straight, but it was still hard to say to Bikky. Hard to say, but important.

Bikky frowned a little and looked up. "Did you finally tell him to leave you alone? Or has he... gone somewhere?"

"No," Ryo was turning a little pink by then, "we're lovers, now. Bikky..."

Bikky frowned again. He didn't really like the idea of Ryo being gay, and yet, still, Ryo was Ryo and maybe it didn't matter. He wasn't sure if he would stop bothering Dee completely, but he supposed he'd look the other way. Sometimes. After all, Ryo looked past his few minor flaws...

He smiled a little at Ryo. "Okay."

He winced a little when Ryo grabbed him in a hug, surprised at the suddenly warm and enthusiastic reaction, but he hugged back.

"Thank you, Bikky."

"Glad you think it's okay, monkey-boy," a voice said suddenly, and Ryo looked up to see Dee leaning against the door. "Thanks, I guess."

"How long were you...?"

"Oooooh - " Bikky started to say something to Dee, but Ryo quickly clamped a hand over his mouth. He didn't need trouble just then, thank you. Bikky made indignant faces and Dee laughed, crossing the room to drape himself over Ryo's shoulders.

"Does it matter?"
