Wash leans back in his seat and absent mindedly toys with a dinosaur, keeping his eyes on the world outside. It's a nice day -- nice enough that he almost wishes he was with Mal, Jayne and Zoe on their little foray into legality. Not nice enough that he's forgotten, however, the various dangers of this mission and this particular day.
It's hard to forget, naturally -- but it's becoming easier to accept that this is just the way it is; danger, danger, always danger.
