Waiting, in what he fondly thinks of as the best ambulance of the lot, Wash knows that this heist can't go perfectly well. That's just how their luck runs; unfortunate, unavoidable, and he'd dearly love to be proved wrong. Simon had a good idea, with the payment, but the problem is that the payment should always come separately to the real object of the heist and trouble with one will bring trouble to the other, in this case. So he sits, and contemplates the dangers of core planets, and worries over Zoe, until they come back.
