Every damn time he walks into that woman's shuttle he gets shot down, even if he ain't lookin' for a fight. The sensible thing, of course, would be to stop walkin' into that shuttle and say no to the feelings inside of him at the thought of her pretty eyes. The sensible thing would be to forget Inara Serra and let her get the hell off his boat without a fuss.
But he ain't the type to lie down and take it, he'll fight lost battles when most others have forgotten the fight ever happened. He ain't givin' up -- not yet, not even once she's walked off Serenity to start on her new life.
