Letters from Rydia never say as much as Edge wants them to. They don't talk about feelings or needs or when she's coming to him. Just experiences and places and things he can't share, can't really understand. He writes back, slowly, almost painfully, always stopping just short of asking for what he wants.
She doesn't come. Ever. She stays away from him and in time, the letters stop, and Edge puts them all in a box and puts them away, and tries to stop dreaming of her, because in a different flowing of time she died without him, without loving him.
