FFIV: Cupid's Arrow
Fandom: Final Fantasy IV
Pairing: Rosa/Rydia
Warnings: None
Rating: G
Summary: Rosa teaches Rydia to shoot. For
mount_ordeals.
Rosa was warm and soft and entirely too tempting against Rydia's back, and the bow and the arrow in her hands were so difficult to focus on, even when Rosa's hands -- warm and careful -- helped her adjust her deathgrip on the thing. Rosa's breath tickling the back of her neck didn't help, especially not when she laughed, moving a little closer, and chided her gently -- "Relax, Rydia, it's not a test. Just let it happen."
It was amazing to Rydia that Rosa would want to spend time with her -- that she would want to help her learn archery. She'd always loved the idea, and loved to see Rosa shoot -- her movements quick and sure and practiced and right.
It was just difficult to concentrate when Rosa was so close, so close to her and so gentle and kind and...
"Rydia? You can shoot now. Relax a bit more -- don't be so scared of getting it wrong."
"Oh -- sorry."
Rosa stepped away and Rydia opened her eyes properly and tried to keep everything in mind. But mostly she was focused on the places where Rosa had been touching, cold now after Rosa's warmth, and the sudden loss of that intimacy.
The arrow thunked loudly into the target, near the center, and Rosa's delighted laughter -- the look in Rosa's eyes -- more than made up for the lost moment.
