Summary: Cassie has two choices: assume Dean's crazy and end it, or listen to the stupid instinct that wants her to give him a chance to prove it. In another life, maybe she wouldn't hesitate to tell him where to shove it, but she can't quite let it go like this. She has to know. So before she even knows she's made the decision, she's opened her mouth and said, "Prove it."
Notes: This is my fic for ladiesbigbang! There are other awesome projects there, and I am most especially fond of aithine's women of Supernatural icons. The title of this fic is, in case anyone wondered, from Vienna Teng's song, "In Another Life". feywood and cantarina helped me get this into shape, so thank you to them. cantarina is also working on recording this as a podfic, which is exciting, and I will add a way for people to grab that once it's done!
