Summary: Lessons aren't for learning. For
fic_on_demand.
Seifer tips his chair back a little and chews on his pencil. If he realised he was chewing his pencil he would, of course, stop, because Seifer Almasy just does not chew pencils, or indulge in any other nervous or bored habit, except possibly the habit of, when bored, trying to get a rise out of Dincht, or, better, Leonhart. His eyes are also rather firmly fixed on Zell, but he can be forgiven for that, since he was planning the little chickenwuss' demise.
What Seifer Almasy doesn't do, and is in no danger of doing, is actually paying attention in class or learning anything. His learning, and he'd be proud to point this out, he does with a gunblade in his hand facing a worthy opponent -- usually Squall.
In fact, class as Seifer sees it is more about annoying the instructors than learning from them. The thing he learns from Quistis, if anything, is how to stand up to annoying circumstances (usually created by Seifer himself purely to see how she reacts) without any loss of dignity. She's very gifted in the various art forms of completely ignoring things in the right places and making an example of them when it's not right to ignore them.
He has to admire that about the priss, anyway.
And then there's Squally-boy. Seifer's existence on earth might be solely to piss the ice princess off, if he wasn't so damn sure that he has a much higher purpose and will become better known than little Squally ever could. Annoying Squally-boy is just a step in that long road, he's sure.
And Dincht. If Seifer is made to annoy Squall, Zell is made to be annoyed by Seifer. It's so easy to get a rise out of him that Seifer doesn't really have to try -- a few lazy remarks and a smirk in the right place and Zell is hopping mad and shaking his fist at Seifer, inevitably disturbing the lesson.
Seifer Almasy learns nothing from a lecturing teacher.
He does learn how to cause trouble for a lecturing teacher, though.

Otherwise, squee!shiny. I like the internal monologue of Seifer being a complete twit.
