Beatrix will stand by and approve anything. That's her value to a queen, crazy or kind, and Garnet looks at her all apologies when she goes to Zidane. But Beatrix has Steiner (good, silly Steiner) who she can't help loving, if not as she loves Garnet.
So she's happy to let Garnet run to Zidane, happy to let her have a fairytale ending. After all, she deserves nothing less, with all the world saving she's been doing, with the way she's been holding her head high and trying not to hope for so long.
