Kiros was quick and graceful, his every movement -- in battle especially -- calculated and beautiful. Naturally, Squall admired him. A little less naturally, and more surprising, especially coming from Squall, was that Squall wanted him. Quite aside from the dreams Ellone's gift caused, Squall dreamt of him.
He's still graceful now, even now his main job is advising Laguna. His eyes are sharp and clever and Squall doesn't quite blush, but he almost might, and his mouth is dry, and he isn't sure what to say.
So he just says what comes naturally -- whatever and fine and mission based nothings.
