It's been a year since he last saw her. When she left on her mission of peace, as she likes to call it, she was still girlish. Now as she walks off the plane he can see she's all professional, every inch a woman. His eyes stray to her long, graceful legs for a second before he's looking up to meet her eyes, to see her sudden smile that's all for him.
She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him firmly when she reaches him. "Thank you for waiting for me."
He wants to say he couldn't do anything else.
