Simon shook his head, peering into a cupboard that would, maybe, be big enough for River if she crunched up very small. He'd given up underestimating her. She could hide practically anywhere. "No. She won't."

"Simon, when I say it's time for dinner..."

"Oh, let him go hungry, Gabriel, if he's going to be as stubborn as she is."

"It's a silly game!"

"Just leave them to it, Regan."

Simon knows he can't give up. River is waiting. And she won't come out until he finds her, he knows that.
