Rating: PG
Summary: Natural as breathing. For
nataliethompson, for Christmas.
Christmas, a time of the year that didn't matter to them for any religious reason. But there was something in it, something that drew them together because it seemed wrong to be lonely at such a time of the year. Heero didn't even bother asking why Christmas was so important -- knew he wouldn't understand -- knew it wouldn't matter.
They watched Christmas television and they even put up a small tree in Heero's living room, decorating it with cheap tinsel and silver baubles. They didn't bother with presents, Heero thought them empty gestures and Duo didn't have the money if he'd wanted to buy presents -- and neither of them would have known what to get anyway.
It was as natural as breathing when they found themselves on the couch together, curled around each other, arms and legs and braid, like two bodies tangled into one, and it was even more natural when they kissed, laying there with their mouths together, just breathing, just living.
