There's a sort of hollow feeling in his chest when he looks down on it, Rydia all boxed up, going away forever. He sort of blames himself for it, too, because maybe if he'd spoken up sooner she wouldn't have gone away, wouldn't have stayed away in that alien place where time passed at a different pace.

There's a sort of hollow feeling because he's kind of heart broken to see Rydia, bright pretty smiling Rydia, cold and dead and old. She seems content enough in her eternal sleep, which is good, but... she shouldn't be dead already.

It's just not fair.
