Yuffie stopped in front of Aerith, raising an eyebrow slightly and folding her arms across her chest, taking in Aerith's basket and her clothes and the far away look in her eyes. "Penny for your thoughts."

"A flower for a penny," she counters, holding one out. It's pink and pretty and very Aerith, but not very Yuffie. In fact, the whole thing is very Aerith, what with the pink dress and the flowers and the far away thoughtful look. She shakes her head.

"I'll pass."

Aerith shrugs it off, leaning against the wall. She looks into the middle of Traverse Town, looking at nothing in particular, her breathing soft and her eyes only half focused. Yuffie wonders what she's thinking of, but it doesn't really matter. It's just nice to stand there, beside her.

"How about a kiss?"

Aerith turns to her, raising an eyebrow. "Huh?"

"As payment for your thoughts."

Aerith smiles. It's a soft, pretty smile, one that suits her well and needs to be seen there more often. Yuffie takes a step closer and takes Aerith's hand in hers, warm and steady and soft, and stands there, waiting for an answer. Aerith smiles a little more. "It seems a fair trade to me."

So Yuffie kisses her.
