Summary: Quezecotl loves to get out.
It's a liberation. A chance to get out. A chance to be more than a passing thought in the back of someone's mind. A chance to be all glory and splendour and spark and Quezecotl would never deny it. Especially not when it's Zell that draws him out and lets his power flow.
The kid is strong. Stronger with Quezecotl's help and the blessing of other guardian forces, of course, but still stronger than most. Even Squall isn't much more powerful than Zell. And Quezecotl prefers Zell anyway. Shiva's got her hands on Squall and she guards that special relationship jealously. Quezecotl is perfectly happy with Zell -- their personalities match well.
Zell shares his joy in summoning. He's never been scared. He just lets the power flow through him -- lets the power fold out and spread out and become the awesome electric storm that Quezecotl loves.
He gives his all to a fight, and Quezecotl admires that in his chosen one. And he strives to do the same.
