Edge pulled her closer, biting his lip slightly. She was smiling. Smiling at him. He would've mentioned to her how really nice her smile was, except she wouldn't believe him and he didn't feel like words were the right thing right then.
"Shut the door," she whispered, smiling a little more.
He pulled away from her to shut it, dragging a chair across to hold it shut. And then he turned to her again. "There," he said, quietly, a little in awe of her confident manner.
She crossed the room to him and kissed him, kissed him like she'd been dying to.
