Quistis heard his whistling in the shower even in her dreams just before she woke, wrapping around her along with the sound of the water hitting the wall. She woke slowly, woke properly only when she heard his whistling in the bedroom. She sat up, and felt a thrill of happiness run through her at the sight of Seifer there, running his hand through his wet hair and smiling at her.
It contrasted sharply with the loneliness she had always felt before, on waking.
It made her smile all the more brightly for it, especially when he wrapped his arms around her.
