Summary: A good offence is the best defence.
Vivi's heart is pounding and he wants to run, but he can hear Steiner shouting (something about a good offence is the best defence) so he turns and aims a Fire spell, and the monster falls back, so he advances a step. He can hear beasts and people running all around him -- his heart is hammering -- and he almost hates Zidane for entering him in the hunt.
But he feels sort of proud, too, 'cause Zidane thought he could do it and Steiner and Garnet think he can do it, and the monsters are no match for his spells.
