'Vivi, you'll be safe with me', he says, and Vivi believes it. He didn't need Zidane to say it. He's been safe with Zidane since they met, he felt that. It's easy to trust him, because he smiles and he's open and he doesn't seem to ask for anything in return.
It's hard to sleep though, even if he knows he's safe, so he watches Zidane. Zidane is peaceful, snoring softly, one arm flung over his eyes. Vivi lies back and listens to Zidane's snores and, before he even realises he's tired, he's asleep.
"Sleep well, little guy," Zidane whispers, smiling mischievously.
