Summary: Porom goes to see Kain. For
mount_ordeals.
Porom is the do-gooding type, so it doesn't surprise Palom when she packs up a little basket of food and stuff and puts on a cloak, because now she knows how cold Mount Ordeals can be. She fusses with her hair a little, and Palom, watching her, snickers to himself. She so has a crush on Kain (because of course, that's who she's going to see), and that's fine blackmail material.
He follows her, of course. Where one goes, the other follows, and all that. She doesn't seem to realise he's following, which makes it all the more fun. She even does okay with the monsters she meets, though of course, she takes longer like that without his help.
When a monster just about mauls her before she has chance to get an attack in, he jumps in, just like that. Of course he does. What else can you do when your twin is in trouble?
She glares and huffs and flicks her hair, but she's safe.
Kain doesn't seem glad to see her, which pisses Palom off. There she was, crossing the land all the way to Mount Ordeals to bring him food and something nice to drink, risking life and limb, and he can't even thank her.
So he puts his hands on his hips and shouts at the blond-haired dragoon until his expression passes from apathetic to amused to apologetic. Porom blushes and Palom stamps and Kain graciously apologises and lets her set up a picnic there on the very top of Mount Ordeals. They laugh while they eat and drink and though Palom is a little jealous that his sister has eyes only for Kain, he lets it go.
Kain seems a reformed character, he observes, especially when he offers them an escort home.
