Summary: Zidane wants to go off, so Baku lets him go, only just a little reluctantly.
Zidane seems like such a skinny little shrimp of a thing still, and maybe Baku feels kinda fatherly towards him, because damn, he doesn't want to let the little squirt leave. But he has to so he gets his courage up.
He doesn't let the little squirt go so easily, though. He's a good thief and a good guy to have in Tantalus. And he's like a son, goddamnit.
So that's why Baku makes him fight, but it's also why he pulls his punches, and it's also why he's glad when Zidane seems resolved to go anyway.
Let the boy have his Princess.
